On this gorgeous September afternoon we ventured out on to the roof here at 187 King Street E. Now for those of you who’ve been to our office, you know that we’re four flights of stairs up, and then the roof is another two (staggered) ladder-climbs up from there. Once on the roof though, we had hundreds of metres of unobstructed view straight down King Street — the sight is really something to behold! If not for the lack of a barrier around the roof, we would definitely do this more often!
I can see it now… a few Muskoka chairs, a barbeque grilling away, a little summer Sangria… who needs a patio when you’ve got a Toronto rooftop on an historic building?
Check out this neat interactive panoramic view that we captured with Occipital’s 360 app. You can view captures as a flat image, as a stitched-together 360 image, or an interactive image. Now who needs an iPhone 5? Just kidding!
PS: If you happen to be in the area this Saturday night, come by King and George Street to check out our Nuit Blanche window installation on the theme of memory. Though we’re not officially on the map, we thought it would be cool to take part in this all-night Toronto event. Tweet us @pivoting if you’re coming by!
