On the weekend of November 8-10, 2013, developers, designers, and healthcare professionals will come together for a hackathon to create innovative solutions to some of healthcare’s most deep-rooted problems.

So what exactly is a hackathon?

At the beginning of the event, project leaders pitch ideas to the group. Teams are formed — people join whichever project catches their interest. At this point, the teams iterate simple prototypes to test their ideas. The purpose of a hackathon is not to create a polished solution or finished product, it’s simply a venue in which ideas can surface — it’s a starting point.

Pivot is honoured to be involved in the annual Hacking Health Hackathon as design advisors — our designers will be there answering questions and giving user experience design advice to the participants and event attendees.
