A Virtual Intervention Network to Treat Maternal Mental Illness
A large percentage of Canada’s population is affected by postpartum depression and anxiety, however, there are still a variety of barriers to receiving care. Pivot worked with experts in women’s mental health to develop a digital pathway that could assess symptoms and provide the appropriate treatments and resources depending on the individual’s needs.

Journey Maps Discover Real User Needs to Empower Change
ALS is a disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. ALS is fatal and its non-linear symptom progression is very difficult to predict making it so hard for people living with ALS and for their caregivers and providers to manage the disease.
ALS Canada came to Pivot to determine how best to provide people living with ALS with the right information at the right time. UX Strategy Leads Innovative Diagnostic App Creation
The Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE is an international competition where participants are selected to create an innovative consumer technology and user-friendly mobile app that can diagnose up to 16 different medical conditions without a physician, and continually monitor five key vital signs for 72 hours.
With the help of the team’s medical director, Pivot developed research-based algorithms for diagnosing each condition and a simple, personable user interface to guide users through the diagnostic process.
