After their transition from an enterprise sales merchandise automation supplier to an “off-the-shelf” sales merchandising automation service, Field Performance Group (FPG) needed a way to better communicate their platform and service, drive traffic, and boost sales.

Field Sales and Merchandising has long been the domain of mobile devices. In most cases, these deployments used rugged handheld PCs in a variety of form factors almost always running the Windows CE operating system.

In 2007, the iPhone launched and user expectations were changed forever. In the ensuing years, smart phones and tablets have dramatically changed the mobile hardware environment bringing huge increases in computing capability. Apple, Android, Microsoft and Blackberry are all pushing their products into the domain of Mobile Sales & Merchandising. Motorola Solutions has launched a new product to support HTML5 on many of its rugged devices as well.

With the introduction of new mobile technologies, FPG knew that a new platform and a shift in service were required in order for them to remain up to date with the changing marketplace.

David: With this change occurring, Field Performance Group built a completely new Sales and Merchandising platform designed from the ground up for the latest generation of mobile devices.

The new platform, Instant In-Field™ uses the SaaS model to automate mobile sales and merchandising through the cloud to smart phones, tablets, PCs and rugged devices.

In bringing the intuitive, touch-friendly interface found in enterprise apps to the mobile world, Instant In-Field™ can instantly improve user productivity while reducing training needs. With Instant In-Field™, field sales reps, operation managers and field merchandisers can easily use their mobile devices for visit planning and execution, data collection and account management.

Partnering with FPG, Pivot designed a bold new look for their website. The updated product/service identities paired with custom icon illustrations and a responsive web core form the clear, well-organized site targeted to FPG’s on-the-go merchandising clientele.
