Challenge
The Partnership positions their organization as a thought leader in the cancer space, so they wanted to create an online marketplace that would pull together the latest information about a variety of cancer topic and issues. They came to Pivot looking for help to design this digital blog — 1in3.ca. The blog was named after the alarming statistic that one in three Canadians will have cancer in their lifetime.
Solution
While policy makers and researchers were the primary audience, we ensured that all content was designed to be easily shareable even to the general public.
Beyond the launch of the blog, we engaged with the Partnership to create shareable infographics for 6 months of blog content.
Impact
The site launched with Smoking Cessation as the inaugural topic. Using the latest research, we created an infographic that communicated the health benefits of quitting smoking before the age of thirty.
The information visualization was submitted to the design website visual.ly, and within a week was chosen as a staff pick garnering the Partnership more likes and shares with 7,000 views in a matter of days.
