Modern Niagara Group is one of the largest mechanical contracting groups in Canada. With a rapid growth through the acquisition of smaller companies, they came to Pivot with a need to unify their brand and overarching messaging platform.


We used design research methods to understand then restructure the brand hierarchy to include a nationwide umbrella brand (Modern Niagara Group) and two main divisions: Eastern and Western.

The brand system reinforces Modern Niagara’s existing reputation in the industry while allowing a useful hierarchy for divisions and their sub-brands as well as the endorsement of third-party brands and their differing capabilities.

By ensuring consistency, we have provided the organization with a platform of support as it pursues growth in new business lines and markets.
